Baby Canvas Print Sizes from $4.30
Six of the sizes we print. Each has its own page on where it fits and the resolution it needs.
No Glass in the Nursery
The practical argument for canvas in a nursery is that there is no glass in it. No glass, no acrylic front, just a printed surface stretched on a wooden frame, which is the kind of wall art many parents are most comfortable with in a child's room.
The usual format is a set of three small canvases rather than one large one: a newborn photograph, the hands and feet, and one from a few months later. Three 8x8s cost less than one 16x20 and fill a nursery wall well.
Frames and Edges for Baby Canvas Prints
Standard 0.75 inch frame
Included at every size. The photo wraps around the sides, so the canvas hangs flat with no frame around it.
1.5 inch gallery frame
A deeper frame that stands further off the wall. Offered on most rectangular sizes from 8x12 up.
Five edge designs
Folded, mirrored or stretched photo on the sides, or a plain white or black edge.
Choosing a Size for Your Wall
Above a sofa, a bed or a sideboard, a print looks right at about two thirds of the width of the furniture under it. Elsewhere, start from where it will hang.
Baby Photos for Canvas
A nursery wall
A smiling baby with mom, on canvas with no glass.
A gift for grandparents
A sleeping newborn, printed small for their shelf or wall.
A set of three
Newborn, a few months, and the first birthday, in matching sizes.
How to Order Your Baby Canvas Print
Step 1
Upload your photo
From your phone, your computer or a download from your photographer. 72 dpi is the minimum for canvas, so almost any photo is sharp enough.
Step 2
Choose size and frame
Pick the size, the standard 0.75 inch or the deeper 1.5 inch frame, and how the edges look.
Step 3
Preview and order
Check the crop on screen before you pay. A canvas on the standard frame arrives in 2 to 5 business days.
Baby Canvas Print FAQs
-
From $4.30 for an 8x8, the size that suits a nursery set.
-
100% polyester with a matte coating, hand-stretched on a wooden frame, with no glass anywhere in it.
-
Yes, stretched and ready to hang, and the hanger set at checkout has the hardware. As with any wall art, hang it securely and away from the crib.
-
Three 8x8s in a row suit a nursery better than one large canvas, and cost less.
-
72 dpi, so hospital and phone photographs work without adjustment.
-
Yes, and a set of three for the nursery can go in one order. Shipping is free on orders over $75; a $3 surcharge applies to orders mixing product categories.
-
2 to 5 business days on the standard frame. The 1.5 inch and Premium frames take 2 to 8.
-
Not with reasonable care. The inks are UV-resistant and solvent-free, which also matters in a child's room.
-
36x48 inches, though that size is rarely used in a nursery. See our 36x48 canvas prints.
-
Newborn photographs, hands and feet, and the hospital tag. Close shots work better than full-length ones at small sizes.
