Fur Needs Size
The thing that goes wrong with pet prints is scale. Fur is texture, and texture needs room. An 8x8 of a long-haired dog turns the coat into a smudge, where the same photograph at 16x20 shows the coat properly and the print suddenly looks like the animal.
Canvas helps because the weave adds a little texture of its own, which reads as fur rather than as noise. It is also the format to choose for a memorial print, because matte canvas is quieter than a glossy panel.
Frames and Edges for Pet Canvas Prints
Standard 0.75 inch frame
Included at every size. The photo wraps around the sides, so the canvas hangs flat with no frame around it.
1.5 inch gallery frame
A deeper frame that stands further off the wall. Offered on most rectangular sizes from 8x12 up.

Folded, mirrored or stretched photo on the sides, or a plain white or black edge.
