The Gift for the Grandparents, Not the Baby
A baby photo mug is a gift for an adult. New grandparents are the natural recipients, and it works because it gets used every morning by someone who is, at that point in their life, extremely pleased to see that particular face.
For new parents the useful version is a pair, ordered again with a new photo as the year goes on. It turns into a record without anyone planning one.
Classic, Magic or Panorama
Classic mug
White ceramic with your photo beside the handle. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
from $8.90
Magic mug
Black until a hot drink goes in, then the photo appears. Wash it by hand.
from $10.90
Panorama print
The photo wraps all the way around instead of sitting beside the handle.
from $11.90

-
It starts black, and the baby's picture appears when hot liquid is added.
-
11oz, 325 ml, the standard American coffee mug size.
-
Yes, panorama from $11.90, though for a newborn portrait a standard print is usually better.
-
72 dpi, so hospital and phone photographs work.

Yes, food safe and tested for heavy metals. These are a gift for adults rather than for the child; microwave the classic mug only.
-

A close face shot. Full-length newborn photographs lose the face once the print follows the curve of the mug.
