Color, Which Is What Birthday Photographs Have
Birthday photographs are brighter than most. Cake, balloons, candles, a lit room, people in clothes they chose. That is the kind of image acrylic is best at, because the glossy pane in front of the photo makes colors glow.
It is also a sensible choice in a house with children. Acrylic glass is lighter than glass and shatter-resistant, which is why it can go in a hallway or a playroom where a glass frame would worry you.
How Birthday Acrylic Prints Are Made
Hand-polished acrylic glass
A clear, glossy pane in front of the photo, with polished edges and no border.
Face-mounted on photo paper
Your photo is printed on real photo paper and bonded behind the acrylic, which gives richer color.
Hidden hanging system
Added at checkout. It sits behind the panel, so the print appears to float on the wall.
Choosing a Size for Your Wall
Above a sofa, a bed or a sideboard, a print looks right at about two thirds of the width of the furniture under it. Elsewhere, start from where it will hang.
| Where it hangs | Size | From |
|---|---|---|
| A shelf or a desk | 8x8 | $9.00 |
| A hallway or beside a door | 12x16 | $26.00 |
| Above a console or a dresser | 16x20 | $45.00 |
| Above a sofa or a bed | 20x30 | $95.00 |
| A feature wall | 24x36 | $115.00 |

Acrylic Photo Prints as Birthday Gifts
A birthday acrylic print is one of our acrylic photo prints, face-mounted behind polished acrylic glass.
Why acrylic suits bright photographs
Saturated colors are where the glossy pane earns its price: balloons, candles, a decorated table.
A safer choice around children
Acrylic is shatter-resistant and lighter than glass, so it suits a hallway or a playroom.
Acrylic against metal and canvas
Acrylic is glossy, metal is matte and flat, canvas is soft and textured. More ideas are on our birthday gifts page.
