Where the Gown Color Actually Shows
Graduation photographs have one feature nothing else does: an academic gown in a specific color, often with a hood or a stole in two more. Those colors mean something to the person wearing them.
Acrylic shows them at their strongest, because the photo is face-mounted behind a glossy pane that makes color glow, where a matte surface would soften it.
How Graduation Acrylic Prints Are Made
Hand-polished acrylic glass
A clear, glossy pane in front of the photo, with polished edges and no border.
Face-mounted on photo paper
Your photo is printed on real photo paper and bonded behind the acrylic, which gives richer color.
Hidden hanging system
Added at checkout. It sits behind the panel, so the print appears to float on the wall.
Choosing a Size for Your Wall
Above a sofa, a bed or a sideboard, a print looks right at about two thirds of the width of the furniture under it. Elsewhere, start from where it will hang.
| Where it hangs | Size | From |
|---|---|---|
| A shelf or a desk | 8x8 | $9.00 |
| A hallway or beside a door | 12x16 | $26.00 |
| Above a console or a dresser | 16x20 | $45.00 |
| Above a sofa or a bed | 20x30 | $95.00 |
| A feature wall | 24x36 | $115.00 |

Acrylic Photo Prints as Graduation Gifts
A graduation acrylic print is one of our acrylic photo prints, face-mounted behind polished acrylic glass.
Why acrylic holds gown color
A glossy pane over the photo keeps navy, maroon and gold rich rather than flat.
Acrylic against metal
Acrylic is glossy and deep; metal is matte and modern.
