For the Wall a Graduate Actually Has
A new graduate usually has a rented wall: a dorm, a shared apartment, a first place where nothing is permanent. A metal print is slim and frameless, and its hanging plate sits hidden behind it, which suits that situation better than a heavy frame.
It also reads as design rather than memorabilia. A graduation photo on matte aluminum is something a graduate can keep through several moves.
Finish and Hanging for Graduation Metal Prints
Matte finish
The photo is printed straight onto the aluminum with a matte finish that keeps reflections down and resists humidity.
Borderless edges
No frame: the black and silver edges of the panel stay exposed.
Hidden hanging options
A hanger plate for small and medium prints, or an aluminum backframe for larger ones, added at checkout.
Choosing a Size for Your Wall
Above a sofa, a bed or a sideboard, a print looks right at about two thirds of the width of the furniture under it. Elsewhere, start from where it will hang.
| Where it hangs | Size | From |
|---|---|---|
| A shelf or a desk | 8x8 | $9.00 |
| A kitchen or a hallway wall | 12x16 | $27.00 |
| Above a console or a dresser | 16x20 | $49.00 |
| Above a sofa or a bed | 20x30 | $92.00 |
| A feature wall | 24x36 | $105.00 |

Graduation gifts for him
A metal print reads as design rather than a keepsake, which suits a graduate who would not hang a framed portrait. More ideas are on our graduation gifts page.
